Elementary School Green Team Morning Message
This week's Green Team message was read by fourth-graders Gavin VanSlyke and Aaron Febus.

Did you know that you can recycle glass forever? It never wears out. But, if you throw a glass bottle in the garbage, it can take over 4,000 years to decompose. That means it will sit in a landfill for a very long time.

When you recycle a glass bottle, the recycled glass can be used to make new glass products over and over again. This uses less energy than making new glass.

You can recycle any food or drink containers that are made of glass right in your recycling bin. Be sure to rinse the container and take off the lid. You can leave the labels on. Don't include broken glass, drinking glasses, windows, mirrors, cups, or lightbulbs.

Thank you for helping us make our community greener!

The Green Team will continue to work on making our school and community greener. For more information, please contact Denise Toia-Kramer at dtoiakramer@ccs.edu.
