Gertrude Hawk Sale
PTA volunteers, Jackie Walters and Norma Mancuso, are having fun while working to distribute candy orders.
Thank you to all of the families that participated in the Gertrude Hawk Chocolate fundraiser! The money raised will be used for funding a number of events and projects that the PTA sponsors including PARP, three $500 scholarships for graduating seniors, the ice cream social/bike rodeo, the teacher appreciation luncheon, and much more! A big thank you goes out to our Gertrude Hawk PTA committee volunteers. We appreciate all of the volunteers that help bring PTA events to life! Special thanks to Norma Mancuso for running the chocolate sale this year. Hamilton College Presents Carl DuPont, Bass-Baritone - Friday, April 6, 7:30 pm
The Hamilton College Department of Music presents a recital by bass-baritone Carl DuPont on Friday, April 6, at 7:30 pm in Wellin Hall, Schambach Center for Music and the Performing Arts.

DuPont, an assistant professor at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte, presents an evening of art songs by black composers for bass and baritone voice. This performance brings rare and neglected works to the concert stage.

DuPont is a vocalist equally engaged in teaching, performing, and research. He made his first operatic appearance as a boy soprano in the title role of Amahl and the Night Visitors in his hometown of Daytona Beach, FL, and has been singing ever since. Lately, he has been celebrated for his “dramatic, dark tones” (South Florida Classical Review) on stage as Leporello in Don Giovanni, the title character in Dennis Rodman in North Korea, and Jim in Porgy and Bess at the Palacio de Bellas Artes in Mexico City. He has performed as a soloist with the Winston Salem Symphony, Rochester Oratorio Society, Southwest Florida Symphony, and the Leipzig Gewandhaus Orchestra.

This concert is free and open to the public. All seating is general admission. For tickets or information, call the box office at 315-859-4331 or visit hamilton.edu/performingarts.

Now in its 12th year, Vision of Sound is committed to promoting the work of living composers and choreographers from across upstate New York, including Utica, New Hartford, Clinton, Chittenango, Syracuse, Ithaca, Geneva, Canandaigua, Pittsford, Fairport and Rochester. All six of the choreographed works are premieres, and three of the pieces of music are world premieres.

The composers for this project are Peter Allen, Diane Jones, Sally Lamb McCune, Mark Olivieri, Octavio Vazquez, and Michael “Doc” Woods. The choreographers working with the composers are Paige Cummings, Christina D’Amico, Lynea D’Aprix, Zachary Frazee, Molly Naef, and Caitlyn Schrader.

Musicians for this program include Hamilton faculty members Sar Shalom Strong, piano, and Peter Rovit, violin.

This concert is free and open to the public. All seating is general admission. For tickets or information, call the box office at 315-859-4331 or visit hamilton.edu/performingarts.
