Crayon and Marker Recycling

As the end of the school year approaches, teachers and students will likely be looking to dispose of lots of used school supplies.

Rather than throwing them out, the following items can be dropped off in the bins located near the front entrance of the elementary school.

  • Crayons
  • Markers
  • Highlighters
  • Dry Erase Markers

The used crayons will be sent off to The Crayon Initiative to be recycled into new crayons that will be donated to children's hospitals!

Markers will be shipped to Crayola for recycling.

Thank you for helping to keep these items out of the landfills!

PARP
Congratulations to all students who participated in this year's PARP Read&Ride Fundraiser!

Together, as a school, we logged 8,337 minutes spent reading and raised $465.50 to donate to The Ride! That's quite an accomplishment!

Thank you to all who participated by Read&Ride-ing, logging minutes, raising funds, attending our Author Visit with Holly McGhee and attending our Come With Me Bike Parade.

We also have two special thank yous.

Thank you and congratulations to Steven Walker, a kindergarten student in Miss Higgins' class who raised the largest amount of money to donate to The Ride. Steven raised $100 from his 11 sponsors!

Also, thank you and congratulations to Jack Wilson, a second grade student in Mrs. Hullar's class who logged the greatest total number of minutes spent Read&Ride-ing -- 873 minutes!

Again, thank you to all who participated in PARP 2018!

Box Tops
Box Tops are a great way to help earn money for Clinton Elementary just by clipping labels on products you may already use.

Here are some additional tips and information regarding Box Tops:
  • Box Tops can be found on participating brands of cereal, cake mixes, tissues, and other products.
  • Each Box Top is worth 10 cents for Clinton Elementary.
  • Typically the money is used for playground equipment and renovations.
  • You can bring in Box Tops to the collection bin inside the main entrance of the elementary school or send them to school with your child on a Collection Sheet or in an envelope or bag.
  • Please note that the Box Tops program does not accept expired Box Tops.
Thank you for participating!
