The meeting minutes for our June PTA Meeting are available to download here. Mrs. Leuthauser gave an update on the construction in the elementary school. We also elected the officers for the 2019-2020 PTA Board.
This week the PTA presented a token of our appreciation to Julia Scranton, who is one of the many unsung heroes at CCS. Throughout the year she is always willing to help the PTA with communication with Dr. Grimm and parents in the district, scheduling, building request forms, etc in addition to the daily work she does for the district. Thank you so much for all that you do, Julia!!
The weather may not have cooperated but everyone still had a blast at this year's Bike Rodeo and Ice Cream Social!
Utica Bike Rescue turned the gym into a bike obstacle course, where students had a blast riding their scooters and bikes between cones, stopping at stop signs and looking both ways before crossing. When they successfully completed the course, students received a certificate and then an ice cream cone to celebrate the school year. Utica Bike Rescue also did a safety check on each bike and helmet.
Thank you so much to Utica Bike Rescue and all of its volunteers for bringing the Bike Rodeo to Clinton Elementary, to Byrne Dairy for generously donating the ice cream, and to all of our volunteers that made the evening run so smoothly!
At each school board meeting, CCS Superintendent Dr. Stephen Grimm presents "Bright Spots", highlighting activites at each of the schools and important information throughout the district.
Below are the Bright Spots that were presented at this week's BOE meeting.
The public is welcome to attend school board meetings to learn more.

Rachel’s Warriors proudly awarded and recognized our middle school upstanders for the months of January-March at the April board of education meeting and for the months of April-June at the June 18th board of education meeting. These students were awarded with a certificate, a pizza party and a free dance admission ticket.
Congratulations to these students for reaching out to others, being a good friend, and helping to create a kind and caring community at Clinton Central Middle school.
Class List Reveal Day for the elementary school is scheduled for Thursday, August 8 at 2 pm.
The 4th grade Green Team students met last week to finish planting our garden. In addition to tomatoes, we now have onions, basil, parsley, beets, and peppers planted. We hope it will be a successful gardening season!
The Green Team would like to thank Mr. O’Rourke and 3 of his students for designing and making sign stands for our recycling posters. Pictured with the stands are Nate Otto, Jesse Alesandro, and Quentin Mason. Thank you!
