Dear Boys and Girls,
Have you ever been on a Bear Hunt? While you are out walking, riding bikes/scooters and enjoying time with your families, be on the lookout for bears! You can read the book, We're Going on a Bear Hunt, by Michael Rosen and Helen Oxenbury. If you don't have the book at home you can search for read-alouds and songs online.
We love and miss you!
Clinton Elementary Teachers, Faculty, and Staff
***Parents - please ask your neighbors to place bears in their windows and doors so children in the neighborhood can go on a Bear Hunt!!
At each school board meeting, CCS Superintendent Dr. Stephen Grimm presents "Bright Spots", highlighting activites at each of the schools and important information throughout the district. Below are the Bright Spots that were presented at this week's BOE meeting.
The current COVID-19 protocols intentionally and rightfully limit access to the school buildings, cease after school activities, and require social distancing of 6 feet. In addition, NYS's PAUSE Executive Order bans all non-essential gatherings of individuals of any size for any reason. https://www.governor.ny.gov/news/governor-cuomo-issues-guidance-essential-services-under-new-york-state-pause-executive-order
Unfortunately, this makes the distribution of Gertrude Hawk orders impossible at this time. No exceptions will be made.
We understand your disappointment and we are disappointed as well. As soon as federal, state, and local government protocols allow for safe distribution, we will work in earnest to safely distribute the orders.
We hope that our CCS families understand that these unprecedented times call for extraordinary measures. We know that everyone is anticipating the arrival of their chocolate orders; however, we need to make the safest decisions possible for our community. We need to take every step possible to protect one another.
As more information becomes available, we will communicate it directly to those who have placed orders.
Thank you for your patience, flexibility, and understanding. As always, we greatly appreciate your support.
